NFL Week 3 Preview: Key Injuries and Matchups to Watch
NFL Week 3 Kicks Off with High Stakes: Dolphins Face Bills Amid Injury Concerns
As the NFL gears up for an electrifying Week 3, all eyes will be on the Buffalo Bills as they host the Miami Dolphins this Thursday night. The matchup is particularly crucial for the Dolphins, who are desperate to avoid an 0-3 start after suffering losses in their first two games.
In a promising turn of events, wide receiver Jaylen Waddle is expected to take the field despite battling a lingering shoulder injury that had him listed as questionable. According to NFL Network sources, Waddle’s presence could provide a much-needed boost for Miami’s offense as they prepare to face a formidable Bills team known for its defensive prowess.
The Dolphins have made strides in improving their team culture during the offseason, but the pressure is mounting for the franchise leadership to deliver results. With a challenging road game against the AFC East powerhouse Buffalo, the stakes couldn’t be higher for Miami.
Meanwhile, the Washington Commanders are navigating their own injury woes. Quarterback Jayden Daniels missed practice for the second consecutive day due to a sprained knee. Although there’s optimism among reporters that he will play on Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders, head coach Dan Quinn has indicated that an official update on Daniels’ status won’t come until Friday.
In San Francisco, the 49ers are also dealing with quarterback concerns as Brock Purdy continues to recover from a toe injury. After practicing for the second straight day, his availability for Sunday’s game against the undefeated Arizona Cardinals remains uncertain. However, the 49ers have shown resilience, with Mac Jones stepping up in Purdy’s absence and leading the team to a 2-0 start.
