Longview’s Food Scene Heats Up with New Openings and Celebrations
LONGVIEW, TX — Food lovers in Longview are in for a treat this week as the local dining scene welcomes a flurry of exciting new establishments and celebrations.
Braum’s Ice Cream and More
Mark your calendars for November 10, as the first of three Braum’s locations is set to open at 3069 Eastman Road. Known for its delicious ice cream, dairy products, and hearty meals, Braum’s promises to be a delightful addition to the Longview community. A second location at 280 N. Spur 63, next to Kroger, is expected to open just in time for Christmas, while construction on a third site at 1420 W. Loop 281 will commence this month.
Braum’s, which operates over 300 locations across five states, already has a presence in East Texas with stores in Tyler, Mount Pleasant, and Athens. The expansion into Longview marks a significant step for the Tuttle, Oklahoma-based company.
FRESH by Brookshire’s Grand Opening
In addition to Braum’s, Longview will celebrate the grand opening of FRESH by Brookshire’s on November 12. The official ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. at 3121 N. Eastman Road. This 66,000-square-foot market specializes in natural and organic foods, featuring amenities like a sushi counter, a taqueria bar, and an artisan bakery. The outdoor area will include a patio, grill, bar, and even a stage for live music, making it a perfect spot for families and food enthusiasts alike.
A special soft opening event is scheduled for November 7 from 5-7 p.m., where guests can get a sneak peek of the offerings.
Bearded Monkey Sports Bar & Grill
Adding to the excitement, Bearded Monkey Sports Bar & Grill is set to open its doors in Longview within the next 90 days. Located at 1013 Wal St., the 7,500-square-foot venue will feature eight Diamond pool tables, darts, and indoor cornhole, making it a hub for sports fans and food lovers. The menu will include a variety of options from pizza to wings, ensuring there’s something for everyone.
Michael Weatherall, managing owner, expressed enthusiasm for the Longview market, stating, “It seems like a lot of people are out and about, but there’s nothing like what we do.”
East Texas Juicery Celebrates One Year
In a nod to the local business community, East Texas Juicery will celebrate its first anniversary on November 8. Located at 424 E. Cotton St., the juicery will host a prize wheel event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., giving customers a chance to win exciting prizes. Owners Sydney Reed and Chris Williams are thrilled to mark this milestone and invite the community to join in the festivities.
