Pembroke Park Police Officer Discovers 15-Year-Old Victim of Child Sex Trafficking; Hollywood Man Arrested as Pimp
Pembroke Park Police Officer Uncovers Disturbing Child Sex Trafficking Case
PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. — A routine patrol took a harrowing turn when a Pembroke Park police officer discovered a 15-year-old girl reported missing from Palm Beach County. The encounter, which occurred on March 4 near a Marathon gas station, has since led to a shocking investigation revealing the girl was a victim of child sex trafficking, with a 38-year-old Hollywood man, Ritchie Saincelaire, claiming to be her “pimp.”
According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO), the officer found the girl in a distressed state, wearing a dirty leopard print dress and exhibiting signs of neglect. Deputies noted a “foul odor” and suspected she had not bathed in some time. When questioned, the girl revealed she had been living with a 28-year-old man and claimed to work for “Starbucks,” handing over her earnings to Saincelaire.
Authorities quickly suspected human trafficking, especially since the girl, along with three others, had run away from a Palm Beach County group home in January. The investigation revealed that she had been “working” for Saincelaire by dancing and engaging in sex acts for money at a local establishment, as well as soliciting on the streets of North Miami Beach. She was reportedly expected to earn up to $1,000 a night, with threats of violence if she fell short.
Saincelaire, a native of Paris, France, was arrested on Thursday and faces three felony charges, including sex trafficking of a minor. Investigators uncovered troubling evidence, including text messages from Saincelaire, who referred to himself as her pimp and allegedly encouraged her to send him explicit photos.
In May, authorities executed a search warrant at Saincelaire’s residence, where he denied any wrongdoing, claiming he was merely “helping” the girl. However, further investigations revealed she had been sexually assaulted by another man shortly before her rescue and tested positive for multiple drugs, including methamphetamines and cocaine metabolites.
The case has raised serious concerns about the vulnerability of runaway youth and the insidious nature of child sex trafficking. As of Monday, Saincelaire remains in custody at the BSO Main Jail without bond, as the investigation continues.
This disturbing incident serves as a stark reminder of the ongoing battle against human trafficking and the urgent need for community awareness and intervention.
