Infosys Announces Performance Bonus Payouts for Q1 FY 2024-25, Boosting Morale of Employees
Infosys, India’s second largest IT services company, has announced the commencement of performance bonus pay-outs for eligible employees for the first quarter of fiscal 2024-25. The company has allocated an average of 80% bonus for employees at band six (E6) and below, marking a significant increase from the previous quarter.
This move is expected to uplift the morale of a large portion of the technology workforce at Infosys, as employees eagerly anticipate the bonus pay-outs based on their individual performance and contributions. The heads of delivery units have determined the percentages for each employee according to the allocated budget.
The bonus pay-outs come on the heels of Infosys’ impressive performance in the first quarter of fiscal 2025, where the company reported a 7.1% year-on-year increase in net profit and a 3.6% rise in revenue, outperforming its competitors. As a result, Infosys has raised its revenue guidance for the fiscal year to 3-4% in constant currency terms.
In an email to employees, Infosys attributed its strong growth to the company’s unique service offerings and the dedication of its workforce. The email highlighted the role of employees in strengthening the company’s diverse portfolio and deepening client relationships through enhanced GenAI capabilities.
The variable pay for the quarter ranged from 75% to 84.5% for employees in the E6 category, 77% to 86% for those at E5, and 80% to 88% for E4. These figures represent an increase compared to the previous quarter, indicating the company’s commitment to rewarding high performance.
Employees at Infosys are classified into different bands based on their level within the organization, with E0-E2 encompassing freshers to technical leaders, and E3-E6 holding mid-level positions such as project managers and vice presidents. Senior-level employees are classified as E7 and above.
