Los Angeles, CA – While most of Los Angeles is still asleep, Bozoma Saint John is already deep in conversation with God. At 5:30 a.m., she begins her day with an hour of prayer and meditation, a practice she credits for her clarity and focus as she juggles a multifaceted career and motherhood.

Saint John, a marketing maven known for her dynamic presence, first captured the internet’s attention in 2016 at Apple’s World Wide Developers Conference, where she led the audience in a spirited rendition of “Rapper’s Delight.” Since then, she has held prestigious roles as Chief Brand Officer at Uber and Chief Marketing Officer at Netflix. Now, she is set to host a new reality show, On Brand, alongside Jimmy Fallon, premiering September 30 on NBC.

In addition to her television endeavors, Saint John is the founder of Eve by Boz, a hair care company that produces wigs, extensions, and hair products, with a factory based in Ghana. Her passion for hair is deeply personal; she believes it is a vital part of identity, especially for women of color.

A Day in the Life

Saint John’s day begins with prayer, where she seeks discernment and clarity. “It’s when I go to God,” she explains. “I’m usually thinking about something I want to do and trying to get my mind on the right track.”

By 7 a.m., she’s at the gym, working out at least six days a week. Her routine includes a mix of cardio and strength training, which she finds motivating when surrounded by others.

Her workday kicks off with meetings for Eve by Boz, where she collaborates with teams in Ghana and the U.S. “We’ve built a factory in Ghana, where we produce and ship globally,” she shares. “Hair has always been a part of my identity, and I want to innovate for women of color.”

Afternoons are reserved for creative tasks, including writing and preparing for her role on On Brand. As filming for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills continues, she balances work calls in between shoots, forming unexpected friendships with her co-stars.

Balancing Act

Despite her busy schedule, Saint John prioritizes family time. Dinner with her 16-year-old daughter, Lael, is sacred, often filled with discussions about college prep and life. “I’m a single mom, and my job is to make sure she always feels fortified,” she says.

Evenings wind down with her favorite shows, a mix of historical fiction and reality TV. “I love Netflix, but I also love reality TV,” she admits, showcasing her relatable side.

By 9:15 p.m., she’s in bed, ready to recharge for another day of balancing faith, family, and her flourishing career.

As Saint John continues to break barriers in both the corporate and entertainment worlds, her story serves as an inspiration for many, proving that with faith and determination, it’s possible to thrive in multiple arenas.
