NDA, JDU, and TDP allies praise Budget 2024

NDA Allies TDP and JD(U) Hail Finance Minister’s Budget Announcements for States

In a significant development for the stability of the Modi-03 government, the two major NDA partners, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Janata Dal (United), have expressed their support for the finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s recent announcements in the budget.

The Janata Dal (United) has hailed the measures as a step towards development and self-reliance for the state, while the TDP has praised the budget’s provisions for Andhra Pradesh, with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu stating that it will greatly benefit the state.

Union minister and senior JD(U) leader Rajiv Ranjan Singh (Lalan Singh) has criticized the opposition’s claims that the budget’s measures for Bihar and Andhra Pradesh are merely aimed at saving the government. He emphasized that the budget is inclusive and addresses the needs of every section of society.

Lok Janshakti Party president and Union minister Chirag Paswan also welcomed the budget’s announcements for Bihar, stating that they align with his vision of “Bihar first Bihari first”. He dismissed the opposition’s criticism, highlighting the special provisions made for Bihar in the budget.

With TDP being the largest BJP ally in the NDA and JD(U) being the third largest constituent, their support for the budget measures is crucial for the government’s stability.

Overall, the budget’s focus on development and addressing the concerns of various states has been well-received by the NDA partners, indicating a positive outlook for the government’s future.
