NE Glisan Street to Host Inaugural “Gored Gourd Gala” This Sunday
Portland, OR – Mark your calendars for a delightful autumn celebration! On Sunday, October 12th, from noon to 5 p.m., NE Glisan Street will transform into a vibrant hub of community spirit with the inaugural “Gored Gourd Gala on Glisan.” This family-friendly event will feature an array of food, live music, and retail specials, showcasing the best of local businesses.
Spanning from 70th to 74th Avenues, the gala will host over 15 vendors and four live bands, all eager to welcome residents and visitors alike. Attendees can explore pop-up tents lining both sides of NE Glisan Street between NE 71st and 72nd avenues, where local artisans and food vendors will offer unique products and delicious treats.
Among the highlights, Wildcard Barber, Hinterland, and NightOwl Custom Apparel will present live music on the back patio, featuring performances from Base Band, Tragic Lovers, and Diludead from 12:15 to 4:30 p.m. The sidewalk will be bustling with booths from vendors such as Sam Pletcher Goods, Wolf Tea Creations, and Smash Me Daddy, known for their mouthwatering smashed burgers.
In addition to shopping and dining, families can enjoy face painting, tooth gems, and even a flash tattoo artist at Wildcard Barber, offering permanent ink from a curated selection of designs. Many businesses along NE Glisan will also have special fall promotions, making it a perfect opportunity to support local shops.
