Shooting at California Closets in Huntington Beach Linked to Deadly Police Incident in South Gate
Huntington Beach, CA — A shooting at a California Closets business on Monday morning has left one person hospitalized and raised concerns about a possible connection to a recent police shooting in South Gate, approximately 30 miles away.
Authorities responded to the scene near Skylab Road and Springdale Street shortly after the incident was reported. A police spokesperson confirmed that the shooting does not appear to be random and reassured the public that there is no ongoing threat to safety.
As detectives combed through the sprawling business, they placed evidence markers indicating the location of bullet casings near the side and rear entrances, as well as around an older model pickup truck parked nearby. The circumstances leading to the shooting remain unclear, with investigators still piecing together the events.
