Qatar Airways Cargo and Cainiao Expand Partnership to Boost E-Commerce Logistics

Hangzhou, China — In a significant move to enhance cross-border e-commerce delivery, Qatar Airways Cargo and Cainiao have announced an expanded strategic partnership. This collaboration aims to bolster global connectivity and meet the surging demand for fast and reliable international logistics.

The agreement was formalized during an official ceremony at the Cainiao Global Smart Logistics Summit in Hangzhou, attended by key figures including Mark Drusch, Chief Officer Cargo at Qatar Airways Cargo, and Wan Lin, Chief Executive at Cainiao.

Under the new terms, Cainiao will more than double its weekly charter flights on critical China-Europe routes, leveraging Qatar Airways Cargo’s extensive global network and operational expertise. This expansion will provide merchants with a more flexible flight schedule, enhancing their ability to plan and deliver exports to Europe while supporting Chinese businesses seeking to expand internationally.

By combining the strengths of Qatar Airways Cargo with Cainiao’s leadership in e-commerce logistics, we are uniquely positioned to deliver unmatched connectivity and service to customers.”

Wan Lin echoed this sentiment, highlighting the advantages of collaborating with Qatar Airways Cargo. “Partnering with a globally renowned industry leader known for its operational excellence and unmatched global reach further strengthens our logistics network and underscores our commitment to delivering world-class e-commerce experiences,” he said.

This strategic alliance not only enhances the logistics capabilities of both companies but also positions them to better serve the fast-evolving global e-commerce market.
