Air Cambodia to Enhance Travel Experience with New Business Class Retrofit in 2027

Phnom Penh, Cambodia — Air Cambodia is set to elevate its passenger experience by retrofitting the innovative ‘X-Space Table’ across its fleet of three ATR turboprop aircraft in 2027. This move marks a significant step in the airline’s commitment to providing enhanced comfort and flexibility for travelers.

The new business class section will feature four premium seats arranged in a one-by-one layout across two rows, ensuring direct access to both window and aisle for every passenger. Each seat will come equipped with individual stowage compartments, enhancing privacy and comfort for a more refined travel experience.

David Zhan, Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Air Cambodia, expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming changes. “We are eager to introduce a new business class offering across our fleet of ATRs, as it will enable Air Cambodia to offer a more refined travel experience while maintaining the agility required in our operations,” he stated. “This solution supports our commitment to providing greater comfort and choice to passengers across Cambodia, while ensuring continuity of service with our single-aisle fleet. It also strengthens our ability to adapt to evolving travel needs.”

The ‘X-Space Table’ is part of ATR’s HighLine collection, a series of business class cabin interiors launched in 2023. Designed for dynamic fleet operations, this innovative solution allows airlines to swiftly switch between full economy and dual-class configurations, catering to varying passenger demands.

Nathalie Tarnaud Laude, Chief Executive Officer of ATR, emphasized the versatility of the X-Space Table. “It reflects ATR’s DNA of versatility, allowing operators to create new opportunities for ancillary revenue and adapt to evolving passenger expectations around comfort and inflight experience,” she said. “We are grateful for Air Cambodia’s continued trust, and we are confident that their disruptive vision of air travel will make a significant difference for tomorrow’s regional aviation.”

Air Cambodia operates ATR aircraft on key regional routes, including Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Ho Chi Minh City. The airline has been recognized with a three-star rating by Skytrax for its customer experience and is poised to become the first ATR operator to implement this specific dual-class configuration.

As Air Cambodia prepares for this exciting upgrade, passengers can look forward to a more luxurious and adaptable travel experience, setting a new standard in regional aviation.
