Dyson Unveils Revolutionary New Products at Berlin Launch Event
Berlin, Germany – September 4, 2023 – British technology giant Dyson made waves on Thursday with the unveiling of 11 innovative products, ranging from cutting-edge home cleaning solutions to advanced air purification and personal care devices. The global launch event, held at the company’s Demo Store in Berlin, featured founder Sir James Dyson arriving in style in a vintage Mini, setting the tone for a day of groundbreaking announcements.
Among the highlights was the introduction of the Dyson PencilVac, touted as the world’s slimmest vacuum cleaner at just 38mm in diameter. This remarkable device is powered by Dyson’s new compact Hyperdymium 140k motor, which spins at an impressive 140,000 RPM. The PencilVac boasts features such as dual laser-like green lights for enhanced visibility, app connectivity, and a hygienic syringe bin ejection system. Its innovative conical brush-base head is designed to self-remove hair and debris, making it a game-changer for home cleaning.
“We are very keen on making things smaller and lighter while dramatically improving performance,” said Sir James Dyson. “I have long wanted to create a vacuum with a diameter of just 38mm, which is optimal for handling and aligns with our latest hair dryer, the Supersonic r.”
Dyson also showcased the upgraded V8 Cyclone cordless vacuum, which now offers 30% more suction power and up to 60 minutes of runtime. The Dyson V16 Piston Animal promises comprehensive home cleaning with 315 air watts of suction, anti-tangle brush bars, and a 30-day dust bin capacity, along with a wet-roller head for washing floors.
In addition to these vacuum innovations, Dyson introduced several other products, including the Dyson Clean+Wash Hygiene, a filter-free wet and dry cleaner, and the Dyson Spot+Scrub Ai, a robot vacuum equipped with AI stain detection and obstacle recognition. The Dyson HushJet Purifier Compact was also unveiled, offering 80% of the performance of its flagship counterpart while being quieter and more compact.
The personal care range received a significant update as well, with the launch of the lighter and more powerful Supersonic r hair dryer and the Airwrap Co-anda 2x multi-styler, both powered by a new high-performance motor. Notably, Dyson introduced its first hair care line, the Omega Nourishing Range, infused with omega-rich oils sourced from the company’s own farms in Lincolnshire, UK.
“Over the years, we have re-imagined our products through design, technology, and state-of-the-art research,” Dyson remarked. “Developing new technology motors, heaters, separation systems, and aerodynamics has allowed us to radically change product formats while maintaining high performance.”
The new Dyson products are set to roll out globally, with specific launch dates for India yet to be announced. As Dyson continues to push the boundaries of innovation, consumers can look forward to a new era of home cleaning and personal care solutions.
