Gov. Kevin Stitt Champions Bipartisan Effort to Revitalize ‘The American Dream’

Reigniting the American Dream: NGA Chair Gov. Kevin Stitt’s Vision for the Future

Governors Unite to Reignite the American Dream Ahead of 250th Anniversary

As the United States gears up to celebrate its 250th anniversary, a renewed focus on the American Dream is taking center stage, spearheaded by the bipartisan National Governors Association (NGA). In an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital, NGA Chair Gov. Kevin Stitt of Oklahoma emphasized the importance of fostering a spirit of opportunity for future generations.

ā€œI’ve lived the American Dream,ā€ Stitt declared, highlighting a shared vision among both Democratic and Republican governors. ā€œWe all agree that we want to teach the next generation that America is exceptional and that you can accomplish anything you set your mind to.ā€

During the NGA’s summer meeting in Colorado Springs, Stitt unveiled his key initiative as chair, which aims to bolster the economy, enhance education, and invest in artificial intelligence. ā€œThere’s no such thing as equal outcomes, but we want equal opportunities to chase your dreams through hard work, entrepreneurship, and free markets,ā€ he explained.

The meeting featured notable speakers, including Education Secretary Linda McMahon and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Stitt expressed his desire to invite more influential figures who embody the American Dream, mentioning potential guests like Vice President JD Vance, former President Barack Obama, and media mogul Oprah Winfrey.

NGA Vice Chair Gov. Wes Moore of Maryland shared his own journey, stating, ā€œThe American Dream is never a singular dream. It’s a continuation… The United States is the most unique experiment in the history of the world. Period. Full stop.ā€

Stitt, who built a nationwide company from just $1,000 and a computer before becoming governor in 2018, reflected on his legacy as he approaches the end of his term. He expressed pride in achieving ā€œeducation freedomā€ and transforming Oklahoma into a top-10 state for migration.

ā€œWe were facing teacher walkouts and billion-dollar budget deficits,ā€ Stitt recalled. ā€œI wanted to bring this bravado to Oklahoma.ā€ As he prepares to step down, he is closely monitoring the gubernatorial race, hoping to see candidates who prioritize the next generation over political ambitions.

Looking ahead, Stitt plans to return to the business world, emphasizing that politics should not be a career ladder but a service to the community. ā€œWe’re making the right decisions for the citizens of Oklahoma,ā€ he concluded, underscoring his commitment to fostering a thriving future for the state.

As the NGA continues its mission, the focus remains clear: to reignite the American Dream and ensure that every citizen has the opportunity to succeed.
