New York, NY – Supermodel and “Project Runway” host Heidi Klum wowed guests at her annual Halloween party on Friday night, donning an elaborate Gorgon Medusa costume that was both terrifying and mesmerizing. The event, held at the Hard Rock Hotel: The Venue, showcased Klum’s signature flair for extravagant Halloween attire, and this year was no exception.
Klum, who has long dreamed of embodying the “super-ugly” Medusa, made a grand entrance complete with writhing snakes and frightful fangs. “I’ve been thinking about Medusa for quite some time,” she told E! News. “I wanted a super-ugly, super-scary face, really ugly teeth, and to be like a really long rattlesnake.”
Her husband, Tom Kaulitz, complemented her look by dressing as a warrior turned to stone by Medusa’s gaze. The couple revealed they spent five months preparing their costumes, culminating in an impressive 10-hour dressing session on the day of the party.
Klum praised the creative team behind their looks, stating, “Everything is hand-painted. About 15 people have been working on this, and I think they did a fantastic job.” Kaulitz, reflecting on the challenge of coordinating their costumes, said, “This year wasn’t that difficult, but sometimes it is. Last year we did E.T., and that was a challenge.”
Despite the dramatic transformations, the couple maintained their playful chemistry. Klum noted, “You still look like you,” while Kaulitz described his wife as “sexy” in her Medusa guise. Klum reciprocated the compliment, calling him “super hot.”
The couple, who share four children from Klum’s previous marriage to Seal, teased fans with glimpses of their costume preparations earlier in October. Klum shared a photo of a 3D mold of her face on Instagram, hinting, “This is just the beginning.”
Last year, the couple’s E.T. costumes took over a year to create, but this year’s Medusa theme proved to be a hit, showcasing Klum’s unmatched creativity and dedication to Halloween festivities.
