Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom: Navigating Co-Parenting After Their Split

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom Confirm Amicable Split, Focus on Co-Parenting

In a heartfelt joint statement released to Us Weekly on July 3, representatives for Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have confirmed the couple’s split, emphasizing their commitment to co-parenting their daughter, Daisy. “Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting,” the statement read. “They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability, and mutual respect.”

Sources close to the former couple reveal that their separation was mutual and had been in the works since the beginning of the year. Perry, 40, and Bloom, 48, who got engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2019, welcomed their daughter in August 2020. Bloom also has a 14-year-old son, Flynn, from his previous marriage to Miranda Kerr.

Despite the split, insiders report that the couple remains on good terms. “They are still very much in touch and co-parenting Daisy together,” a source shared. “Orlando brought Daisy to meet Katy on tour before heading to the Bezos wedding. It’s not messy between them.”

Perry has been busy with her Lifetimes tour, recently wrapping up performances in Australia. During her final show in Adelaide, she expressed gratitude to her fans, saying, “Thank you for always being there for me, Australia. It means the world.” She is set to perform in Denver on July 10.

While the split has been described as amicable, sources indicate that it was a long time coming, with tensions building over the past few months. “Katy is of course upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life,” a source revealed.

As both Perry and Bloom navigate their new family dynamic, they are committed to maintaining stability for Daisy. “They aren’t making drastic changes for Daisy’s sake,” the insider explained. “They will keep their lives in Montecito, prioritizing stability and consistency.”

In the wake of the split, Bloom has been spotted enjoying time with friends, including a recent outing in Venice where he was seen chatting with Kim Kardashian. He also shared inspirational quotes on social media, reflecting on personal growth and the importance of communication.

As the couple embarks on this new chapter, their focus remains on providing a loving environment for their daughter, ensuring that she continues to thrive amidst the changes.
