Cheshire, UK – At 51, Georgina Tang never imagined she would become the founder and CEO of a successful beauty company. Yet, in 2014, driven by a mother’s love and determination, she launched YNNY Ltd, a brand that has since transformed the lives of many.

The journey began in 2013 when Georgina’s 10-year-old son, Alessio, was diagnosed with a severe autoimmune condition requiring chemotherapy. The treatment’s harsh side effects left him with cracked, bleeding skin and significant hair loss. Frustrated by the ineffectiveness of prescribed steroid creams, Georgina took matters into her own hands.

Having previously attended a free bath bomb course, she had dabbled in creating natural skincare products. With a fierce resolve to alleviate her son’s suffering, she began experimenting in her kitchen. Within a month of using her homemade shea butter balm, now known as Soothing Shea Butter, Alessio’s skin began to heal. This breakthrough not only changed his life but also sparked a newfound passion in Georgina.

As Alessio’s condition improved, Georgina expanded her product line to include a shampoo and conditioner aimed at promoting hair growth. Friends and fellow cancer patients began to notice the positive changes and sought her products, prompting her to share her creations with others undergoing similar treatments.

“I never considered selling my products; I just wanted to help,” Georgina reflected. However, the positive feedback from cancer sufferers, who reported that her products made their treatments more bearable and helped restore their confidence, encouraged her to think bigger.

In her quest for effective anti-aging solutions for herself, Georgina developed the Elixir serum, further solidifying her place in the beauty industry. Recognizing the potential of her business, she made the bold decision to leave her secure job in housing management and focus on YNNY Ltd full-time.

A Leap of Faith

Georgina’s entrepreneurial journey took a significant turn in 2017 when a prominent beauty training academy in Liverpool approached her about a white-label partnership. Although unfamiliar with the concept, she quickly learned and soon began supplying three ranges of skincare products that would be sold globally.

Today, YNNY Ltd is an established name in the beauty industry, known for its natural and organic skincare and haircare products. The company not only sells its own products but also offers bespoke natural formulations and fulfillment services, managing storage, packing, and shipping for clients.

Georgina’s hard work has paid off; her company recently achieved six-figure revenue and earned accolades at the National Beauty Awards, winning Best Hair Product, Best Skincare Product, and Best Beauty Entrepreneur—making her the only company to win three awards this year.

Age is Just a Number

At 62, Georgina stands as a testament to the idea that age should never be a barrier to pursuing one’s dreams. “People often worry they are too old to start something new,” she said. “But my age has given me resilience, life experience, and financial stability.”

Running her business as a side hustle for the first two years, Georgina emphasizes the importance of careful planning and self-trust. “Fear of failure can hold many back, but staying positive and realistic is key,” she advised.

As YNNY Ltd continues to grow, Georgina remains committed to her mission of helping others. With clients in Dubai, the US, and Europe, she collaborates with well-known brands and personalities to create beauty products that resonate with consumers.
