Sohome Horror Film Festival Presents: SOHOME HORROR PRIDE 2024 – Line-Up Announcement
The Soho Horror Film Festival is back with a bang, promising a devilish celebration of queer-made fear at the upcoming SOHOME HORROR PRIDE 2024 event. This virtual festival, set to take place from the 11th to the 14th of July, will showcase the best voices in LGBTQ+ filmmaking, featuring 11 fierce features, over 20 slay shorts, and 5 special live events.
The festival will kick off with the UK Premiere of Erlingur Thoroddsen’s THE PIPER, a haunting remix of the Pied Piper of Hamlin fable with a stunning score from Christopher Young and a performance from Julian Sands. Other highlights include a live show celebrating horror film musical adaptations, a punk opera sleaze performance of KILL DOLLY KILL, and a special evening with Drag queen genre icon, Peaches Christ.
The lineup also includes international debuts such as GANYMEDE, WILD EYED AND WICKED, and THE BELL KEEPER, as well as the UK Premiere of WE ARE ANIMALS and MAMANTULA. The festival will also feature a special preview of Nicholas Vince’s one man show cinematic adaptation I AM MONSTERS! and the colonialist camp of HOUSE OF IZABEL.
In addition to the film screenings, the festival will host panels, retrospectives, and an exclusive preview screening of CANNIBAL MUKBANG, bidding farewell to the female horror collective Ghouls Magazine. The festival is run on a Donate-What-You-Can basis, with a recommended donation of £40, and a portion of all donations will go to Mermaids UK, an organization supporting Trans, Non Binary & Gender diverse youth.
