Local Passport Program Launches on Nov. 29 in Jamestown – Jamestown Sun

Support Local Businesses: Join the 2025 Loyal to Local Passport Program!

The Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce has once again partnered with local businesses to bring back the Loyal to Local Passport Program for the 2025 holiday shopping season.

Now in its fifth year, this initiative encourages residents and visitors to support locally owned businesses by rewarding shoppers for keeping their dollars in the community.

The program starts on Small Business Saturday, Nov. 29, and will run through Jan. 5, 2026. Shoppers can pick up a passport at the chamber office or at participating businesses.

Each time they shop, participating businesses will stamp their passport to reflect how much was spent. Once a shopper reaches $250 in spending across five or more locations, the shopper is eligible to turn in the completed passport for a chance to win prizes.

In 2024, the program recorded 561 completed passports and more than $148,000 in tracked local spending — an all-time high. However, the actual impact is believed to be much greater, the chamber said, as many shoppers spent beyond the amounts required for stamping. The program also supports over 80 local businesses directly through participation and helps funnel additional spending into the local economy during the critical holiday season.

“This program has proven its value year after year, not just in the number of passports turned in, but in the boost it gives to small businesses during the holidays,” said Emily Bivens, executive director of the Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce. “Every dollar spent locally helps strengthen our economy, supports jobs, and keeps Jamestown thriving.”

Shoppers can turn in completed passports at the chamber office (120 2nd St. SE) or at Zimmerman’s Furniture (118 2nd St. SW) by the Jan. 5 deadline.
