LANETT — Nestled in the heart of Lanett, the Back Porch Salon has quickly become a beloved destination for families seeking a blend of style and comfort since its opening in February 2022. Owner Danielle Fuller Jordan has crafted a welcoming atmosphere that caters to all ages, ensuring that every visit is a delightful experience.

“We offer a wide range of services here — from spray tans and facial waxing to hair extensions and Brazilian blowouts,” Jordan shared. “We also provide eyelash extensions and a variety of cuts and colors.”

While clients await their transformations, they can unwind on one of the salon’s charming porches. “We definitely try to make it very kid-friendly here, while also keeping a relaxing space,” Jordan explained. With toys available for little ones and rocking chairs on the front porch, families can enjoy a leisurely wait while taking in the sights and sounds of the neighborhood, including the friendly cows grazing nearby.

Jordan’s journey into the world of cosmetology began right after high school, fueled by a dream of opening her own salon. However, her initial foray into hair cutting was met with nerves. A creative suggestion from her brother-in-law provided the perfect solution. “He invited me to cut hair for his friends during football nights,” she recalled. “I would practice on the porch, and that’s where the name of my salon comes from.”

Since its inception, the Back Porch Salon has thrived, thanks in large part to the support of the local community. “I’ve seen it grow so much,” Jordan said, reflecting on the interconnectedness of small businesses in Chambers County. “It’s amazing to witness how we all support each other.”

Jordan’s commitment to community extends beyond her salon. She has actively participated in local events, including sponsoring the LaFayette Main Street pageants. “My favorite thing about owning a small business is getting to be so involved,” she said. “I love helping other businesses and events in the community.”

Behind her success, Jordan credits her family for their unwavering support. “I wouldn’t be where I am without my mom, dad, and aunt. My husband, Dawson, has also been my biggest cheerleader,” she expressed gratefully.

For those looking to experience the warmth and expertise of the Back Porch Salon, appointments can be made by calling (334) 630-1222 or messaging the salon on Facebook. Located at 7335 Veterans Memorial Parkway, the Back Porch Salon is more than just a place for hair care; it’s a hub of community spirit and connection.
