Business News highlights Today: Reliance Industries (RIL) Chairman Mukesh Ambani addressed the 47th annual general meeting in Mumbai, where several key announcements were made. One of the major updates is that Reliance Industries will be considering a 1:1 bonus issue for its equity shareholders in the upcoming board meeting on September 5, 2024.

In addition to this, Reliance Jio has introduced new prepaid plans that offer Netflix subscriptions at higher prices. The plans now cost ₹1,299 and ₹1,799, providing Mobile and Basic subscriptions, respectively.

Furthermore, the online passport portal will be unavailable for maintenance until September 2, leading to rescheduled appointments for August 30.

Gautam Adani’s family wealth has seen a significant increase of 95% in one year, reaching ₹11.6 lakh crore, making him the richest Indian on the Hurun list, surpassing Mukesh Ambani. The Ambani family remains the most valuable family business in India, followed by the Bajaj family.
