For first-time visitors curious about scalp care, The Calm serves as the spa’s signature introduction—a grounding 90-minute ritual that combines deep scalp cleansing with relaxation techniques, allowing newcomers to experience the essence of a head spa.

Owner Raven Mok created The Renewal treatment specifically for new mothers, inspired by her own struggles with postpartum hair loss. “I wanted to create a space for mothers to relax while also checking self-care off their list,” Mok explained.

For older clients, the Vitality package focuses on anti-aging, pairing scalp treatments with rejuvenating facial care. Seasonal offerings add an element of surprise, with the spa’s rotating Scalp Drop featuring limited-time blends of ingredients. This fall, guests can indulge in the Matcha Moon Reset, a combination of matcha clay mask, matcha scrub, and strawberry lip balm. As the season changes, so does the treatment, with a warm apple-cinnamon inspired ritual set for November and December.

“I take pride in sharing these Scalp Drops,” Mok said, emphasizing the uniqueness of each seasonal offering.

While the emphasis on scalp care may seem unusual in a market saturated with facials and massages, Mok believes it’s essential. “People deep clean their skin and their teeth, but they don’t do that for their scalp,” she noted. Mok recalls her own initial treatment: “I was shocked at how red all of my hair follicles were. I thought it was because of postpartum, but it was actually because I’m a busy mom and I’m not giving myself proper care.” This realization shaped her mission to help clients address the root causes of scalp and hair health rather than masking problems with extensions or products.

Mok’s decision to open in Prosper was rooted in a desire to give back to her community. “I live in Prosper, so I want to make sure that we’re giving back to this area,” she said. This commitment is evident in partnerships with local businesses and events. Lois Head Spa plans to launch a membership offering discounts to neighborhood shops and will host a Mahjong and massage night, blending cultural tradition with relaxation.

Looking ahead, Mok hopes to collaborate with OB-GYNs, foundations supporting families impacted by cancer, and local coffee shops for seasonal tie-ins, such as sipping a signature apple-cinnamon latte alongside the seasonal Scalp Drop.
