Fiorentina Sporting Director Daniele Prade Reveals Sofyan Amrabat’s Premier League Ambitions
Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade has revealed that Sofyan Amrabat, the on-loan Manchester United midfielder, is keen on staying in the Premier League this summer. The 27-year-old Moroccan international made 30 appearances for the Red Devils during the 2023-24 season, showing glimpses of his potential.
While Amrabat struggled at times during the season, he ended on a high note with strong performances in the final games, including the FA Cup final against Manchester City. Prade mentioned that Amrabat’s preference is to remain in the Premier League, but it remains uncertain whether he will continue at Manchester United.
With a purchase option of €20m plus €5m in add-ons, Amrabat could be a valuable addition to the United squad, especially with potential departures of other midfielders like Casemiro, Christian Eriksen, and Donny van de Beek. The midfielder himself has expressed uncertainty about his future but acknowledged that staying at Old Trafford is an option.
Considering his improvement towards the end of the season and his work rate in crucial matches, it would be wise for Manchester United to seriously consider signing Amrabat on a permanent basis. The decision could prove pivotal for the club as they look to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.
