In an exciting expansion of its product offerings, Beekman 1802 is set to launch a new Milk Therapy hair care range, harnessing the nourishing properties of goat milk to promote healthier hair and scalp. Founded in 2008 by Josh Kilmer-Purcell and Dr. Brent Ridge, the brand has built a reputation for its sensitive skin-focused body and facial care products. Now, they are venturing into the hair care market, aiming to bring the benefits of goat milk to consumers’ tresses.

The new line, which includes a shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in treatment—all priced under $33—will debut this Saturday on HSN and QVC, with a direct-to-consumer launch planned for September. “Goat milk has so much potential as a platform for products across categories,” said CEO Jill Scalamandre, highlighting the brand’s commitment to innovation.

Brad Farrell, the brand’s Chief Marketing Officer, emphasized their approach to hair care mirrors their philosophy in skin care. “We’re taking the philosophy of being sensitive-skin experts to hair,” he stated. The Milk Therapy line combines the anti-inflammatory properties of goat milk with a peptide complex and hydrolyzed collagen, designed to support holistic hair health.

Early consumer studies show promising results: 94% of participants reported a decrease in scalp irritation, while a clinical test indicated a remarkable 78% reduction in hair breakage over 12 days. This focus on clinical testing reflects a growing trend among beauty consumers who seek scientifically-backed results.

The launch strategy is tailored to Beekman 1802’s core demographic—primarily women in their mid-40s with color-treated, dry, or damaged hair. “We’re going after the mid-40s, older Millennial who has color-treated, dry or damaged hair,” Scalamandre noted.

As the beauty industry sees a surge in milk- and animal-sourced products, Beekman 1802’s Milk Therapy line arrives at a pivotal moment. The popularity of A2 goat milk proteins, known for their potential health benefits, is gaining traction among health-conscious consumers. Farrell remarked on the rising interest in A2 proteins, stating, “It’s been fascinating to see the science of goat milk begin taking off in wellness.”

With the Milk Therapy line, Beekman 1802 is not just launching a new product; they are setting a new standard for hair care that prioritizes sensitivity and holistic health. As the brand continues to innovate, consumers can look forward to a fresh approach to hair care that promises to nourish and revitalize.

Stay tuned for the launch this weekend, and prepare to experience the transformative power of goat milk for your hair!
