It’s disgusting and unbecoming of any public official,” she stated.

Democratic gubernatorial candidate Abigail Spanberger expressed her disgust, stating she had spoken with Jones about the gravity of his words. “I made clear to Jay that he must fully take responsibility for his words. Republican gubernatorial candidate Winsome Earle-Sears labeled Jones’ comments as “wholly disqualifying,” urging Spanberger to call for Jones to withdraw from the race. “Jay Jones can never be Attorney General of Virginia,” she declared.
