Introducing the Dyson Omega Range: A Fusion of Agricultural Expertise and Hair Science
Dyson Launches Omega Range: A Revolutionary Blend of Farming and Hair Science
London, UK – Dyson, renowned for its innovative technology, has unveiled its latest hair care line, the Omega range, after two years of development across nine countries. This new collection is a remarkable fusion of 13 years of agricultural expertise and 12 years of hair science research, promising to transform hair care with its unique formulations.
At the heart of the Omega range is the Dyson Oli7 blend, a carefully crafted combination of seven omega-rich oils, each selected for their exceptional hair care properties. “Our hair care journey began in 2016 with the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer, and we have since evolved into hair formulations with the Dyson Chitosan range in 2024. The Omega range is a natural extension of this commitment,” said Justina Mejia Montane, Product Development Director at Dyson Beauty.
The standout ingredient, sunflower oil, is sourced directly from Dyson’s own farms in Lincolnshire, England. Rich in essential fatty acids, particularly omega-6 and -9, this oil is designed to deeply moisturize hair, smooth cuticles, and significantly reduce frizz. The Omega range also includes a leave-in conditioning spray and a lightweight hair oil, both formulated to nourish and restore dry, brittle hair while providing protection against heat and UV damage.
Dyson’s rigorous testing has shown that the conditioning spray can reduce hair breakage by up to 73% compared to non-conditioning shampoos, while also minimizing split ends by an impressive 96%. The hair oil, when used with the Dyson Airstrait straightener, reportedly delivers up to 261% shinier hair, showcasing the brand’s commitment to effective, science-backed solutions.
In addition to its performance, the Omega collection is designed with sensory experiences in mind. The products feature a crafted fragrance with fruity top notes and floral mid notes, culminating in deeper, comforting scents. The leave-in conditioning spray transforms from a gel-like cream to a lightweight mist, ensuring even coverage for all hair types.
Dyson Farming, established in 2012, plays a crucial role in this new venture. With 36,000 acres of working land, it is one of the UK’s largest farming businesses, producing a variety of crops, including sunflowers specifically for the Omega range. Sir James Dyson, founder of Dyson and Dyson Farming, emphasized the importance of merging agriculture with beauty: “We’ve brought together two completely different worlds—farming and beauty—to develop a product that unlocks healthy hair with natural ingredients.”
The Omega range is currently available in select markets, including Singapore, with plans for a broader rollout. As Dyson continues to innovate at the intersection of technology and nature, the Omega range stands as a testament to the brand’s dedication to enhancing hair health through sustainable practices and cutting-edge science.
With the launch of the Omega range, Dyson not only reaffirms its position as a leader in beauty technology but also sets a new standard for ingredient-led hair care, promising healthier, more vibrant hair for all.
