Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has made a significant move by appointing Gaurav Banerjee, formerly of Disney Star, as its new chief executive officer. Starting his career as a journalist at Aaj Tak, Banerjee later joined Star News in 2004 as a prime-time anchor and senior producer.
