Lush Celebrates 30 Years with New HairLab Opening in Poole
In a vibrant celebration of its 30th anniversary, Lush has announced the grand opening of its second standalone hair salon, Lush HairLab, located beneath the brand’s head office on The Quay in Poole. This new venture not only marks a significant milestone for the company but also pays homage to its roots, as Poole is where Lush was born and where its products continue to be handcrafted.
To kick off the festivities, Lush will host a free open day on Friday, October 17, from 12 PM to 7 PM. Attendees can look forward to an array of engaging activities, including live hair treatment demonstrations, product sampling, and personalized hair styling consultations. The event will also feature complimentary drinks and vegan nibbles, live music, and a special goodie bag for the first 50 guests.
Daisy Evans, Lush’s haircare category and HairLab lead, expressed her excitement about the new location. “Bringing the Lush HairLab to Poole feels like a real homecoming,” she said. “This town is where Lush was born, and to now have a HairLab here feels like we’re really going back to our roots.”
The Poole HairLab promises a unique salon experience, mirroring the eco-friendly practices of its Brighton counterpart. The salon will utilize 100% natural hair dyes made from henna, offering a spectrum of colors from strawberry blonde to deep brown. Additionally, it will feature a botanical washroom where customers can choose between hard or soft water for their hair wash.
For those seeking a tranquil experience, the HairLab will offer no-mirror and non-talkative services, as well as quiet hours with ambient music and lighting. Services will include hair coloring, protective styles, wig maintenance, and specialized treatments for afro hair.
Haircuts will start at £85, while hair coloring begins at £80. The salon will be open from 9 AM to 6 PM, Tuesday to Saturday.
