Lush Unveils New Hair Salon on Poole Quay: A First Look at the Innovative Hair Lab Experience
Lush Unveils Innovative Hair Salon on Poole Quay
Poole, UK – Lush, the beloved cosmetics brand that originated in Poole, is set to launch its second Hair Lab, bringing a fresh and innovative approach to hair care right to the heart of its hometown. The new salon, located across from Poole Quay and beneath Lush’s headquarters, promises to redefine the hairdressing experience.
The grand opening is scheduled for Friday, October 17, from 12 PM to 7 PM, and attendees can look forward to an exciting day filled with live hair treatment demonstrations, product sampling, and personalized hair styling consultations. The first 50 visitors will be treated to complimentary drinks and vegan snacks, along with exclusive goodie bags.
The Daily Echo was granted an exclusive first look at the vibrant new space, which features a unique layout with several hair styling stations designed to foster a more interactive experience. Instead of the traditional back-to-back setup, customers can engage with stylists in a more relaxed environment.
One of the standout features of the Hair Lab is the infusion bar, where clients can create their own custom blends of scents and ingredients to be used as a final rinse during their hair wash. Additionally, a coffee station serving locally roasted Bad Hand Coffee adds to the inviting atmosphere.
The salon also boasts a botanical hair washing station equipped with four beds and weighted blankets made in Salisbury, offering a luxurious touch to the hair washing experience. Visitors can choose between hard or soft water for their wash and even opt for henna hair dye.
For those seeking a more private experience, a dedicated room with ambient music and lighting is available, ensuring a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle.
Daisy Evans, the Lush Hair Lab lead, emphasized the salon’s commitment to inclusivity, stating that the venue features specialists in protective styles, wig maintenance, and afro hair treatments. “Typical hairdressers have turned into a ‘conveyor belt,’ where people with specialist hair types are often excluded,” she noted.
Lush director Karl Bygrave echoed this sentiment, explaining that the Hair Labs aim to transform the hairdressing industry, which he believes “does not live up to what it should be.” With the opening of this local branch, both founders and directors can actively contribute to the future of the Hair Labs.
As excitement builds for the grand opening, Lush’s new Hair Lab promises to be a game-changer in the world of hair care, offering a personalized and inclusive experience that celebrates the diversity of hair types and styles.
