Rocketts Landing Welcomes Bloom Salon & Suites: A New Beauty Destination
The beauty industry in Richmond has a new addition with the opening of Bloom Salon & Suites in Rocketts Landing. Lenise Robinson and Star David, two experienced hair care professionals, have transformed a former real estate office into a stylish salon offering rentable space for hair stylists, massage therapists, and aestheticians.
With over 30 years of combined experience in the beauty industry, Robinson and David saw a need for a space that provided a lower barrier to entry for up-and-coming professionals. The salon features six private suites and six stations in a 2,100-square-foot space, with rentals starting at $325 per week. The goal of Bloom is to help individuals establish their businesses with a station and have the option to graduate up to a suite while staying under the same roof.
After a few years of planning and searching for the perfect location, Robinson and David found the ideal space at 4833 Old Main St. in Rocketts Landing. The salon’s mid-July opening was a culmination of their vision and hard work, with a ribbon-cutting event planned for August 24.
In addition to their new venture, Robinson and David have also moved their individual salon practices, Healthy Hair Republic and Parlour RVA, into Bloom. The salon’s concept aligns with the growing trend of rentable workplace spaces in the Rocketts Landing neighborhood, providing a supportive environment for beauty professionals to thrive.
