All Eyes on Rafah: Global Outrage Over Israeli Airstrikes
The ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas in Gaza has taken a devastating turn with the recent airstrikes on a refugee camp in Rafah. The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) have been accused of killing more than 45 people, including children, in the attack, leading to a global outcry against the violence.
Despite efforts from the United States, Egypt, and Qatar to negotiate a truce deal, both parties seem unwilling to back down, resulting in continued bloodshed in the region. The International Court of Justice (ICJ) recently ordered Israel to halt its military operations in Gaza, but the violence persists.
The phrase “All Eyes on Rafah” has gained traction on social media, with people around the world expressing solidarity with the people of Palestine and condemning the actions of the Israeli government. Celebrities, including actors from India and Team India captain Rohit Sharma’s wife, have joined the movement, sharing the message online.
In response to the Rafah attack, Israel has claimed that the loss of civilian lives was a “tragic accident” and suggested that secondary explosions caused by Palestinian militants may have contributed to the devastation. However, the international community remains focused on holding both parties accountable for the escalating violence in Gaza.
