Silverist brings gray hair into the beauty discussion

Launching The Silverist: A Hair-Care Brand for Gray Hair

Former beauty executive Evelyn Wang has launched a new hair-care brand, The Silverist, specifically designed for people with gray hair. After noticing a lack of products tailored to her own silver tresses, Wang embarked on a journey to create specialized formulas to address the unique needs of gray hair.

The Silverist’s debut collection includes three hero products priced at $32 each, offering solutions for tone correction, shine, and heat protection. With ingredients like saccharides, amla seed oil, karanja seed oil, and sunflower seed oil, the brand aims to nourish gray hair strands and scalp while providing shine and smoothness.

In a market where brands are increasingly targeting older generations, The Silverist stands out by focusing on the normal aging process that women experience. Wang plans to engage with consumers through social media channels and live chats to educate and provide useful information on gray hair care.

With the spending power of consumers over 40 on the rise, The Silverist aims to expand into retail channels in the future, starting with specialty beauty retailers. As more brands recognize the importance of catering to older demographics, The Silverist is poised to make a mark in the beauty industry with its innovative approach to gray hair care.
