Embracing Natural Wellness: Roxanne Page and Frontier Angel’s Journey in Holistic Scents and Soaps

Frontier Angel: A Local Aroma of Wellness and Community

Nevada City, CA — Roxanne Page, the passionate owner of Frontier Angel, is breathing new life into the world of natural body care, drawing on the rich legacy of scents and healing she inherited from Belinda Rush, the founder of the beloved V’Tae emporium. With a commitment to quality and community, Page is transforming her business into a beacon of wellness in the heart of Nevada City.

Since acquiring Frontier Angel in 2017, Page has expanded the brand beyond its original soap offerings, which have been a local favorite since 2002. “I’ve always loved this soap,” she recalls, having previously sold it in her fabric store, Humble Fabric. When the opportunity arose to take over the business, it felt like a natural progression. “Now I am doing something that I absolutely love,” she says.

Frontier Angel’s products, which include not only artisanal soaps adorned with local artwork but also innovative hair care solutions like natural shampoo bars and spray-on conditioners, are available at various local venues, including Natural Selection, BriarPatch, and the Nevada City Farmers Market. The brand also has an online presence, making it easier for customers to access their natural wares.

As the holiday season approaches, Page is gearing up for the Banner Mountain Artisans show, set to take place the weekend before Thanksgiving at the Nevada City Elks Lodge. This event promises a unique shopping experience, allowing customers to meet the makers behind the products. “It’s so wholesome, so beautiful,” Page enthuses about the event, highlighting her latest offerings, including a scalp serum and a muscle rub made from food-grade ingredients.

Page’s philosophy centers around the idea that everything we apply to our skin is absorbed into our bodies. “Why not choose the purest ingredients possible?” she asks. Her products are predominantly vegan, biodegradable, and plant-based, with a few exceptions like goat’s milk and honey. “It’s simple. It’s exquisite,” she explains, emphasizing the importance of natural ingredients in promoting both physical and mental well-being.

The mission of Frontier Angel extends beyond just selling products; it’s about fostering a sense of community and environmental responsibility. “When we take care of ourselves naturally, it’s not only good for our bodies but also for our psyche,” Page asserts. “It relaxes that part of you that feels responsible for the impact you make on the world.”

As she continues to grow her business, Page remains dedicated to supporting local artisans and promoting wellness in her community. Frontier Angel is not just a brand; it’s a movement toward a healthier, more sustainable lifestyle, one scent at a time.
