Forget Tools—Dyson’s Newest Innovation Focuses on Hair Health

Discovering Dyson’s New Frontier: Innovative Hair Care from Farm to Formula

Dyson Expands Beyond Hair Tools: Introducing Innovative Hair Care Products from Its Own Farm

Lincolnshire, England — Known for revolutionizing hair styling with its cutting-edge tools, Dyson is now making waves in the beauty industry with a new line of hair care products sourced directly from its own expansive farm in Lincolnshire. This summer, beauty enthusiasts were treated to a unique experience as they explored Dyson Farm, home to over 800,000 sunflowers, while learning about the brand’s latest innovations in hair health.

The company, which has long been synonymous with high-tech hair dryers and stylers, is now focusing on hair repair and hydration. Following the launch of its next-generation Airwrap, Dyson is introducing two new products: a leave-in conditioning spray and a lightweight hair oil, both infused with sunflower seed oil harvested from its sustainable farm.

The Science Behind the Sunflowers

Dyson’s commitment to quality is evident in its new formulations. The sunflower seed oil, rich in omega-6 and omega-9 fatty acids, is designed to rebuild the hair’s natural lipid barrier, sealing in moisture and enhancing shine. Justina Mejia-Montane, Dyson’s global head of product and innovation, explains that the unique blend of oils—dubbed Dyson Oil7—includes olive, abyssinian, corn, avocado, sesame, and macadamia oils. Each ingredient serves a specific purpose, from reinforcing strength to providing a protective shield against damage.

A Closer Look at the Products

The leave-in conditioning spray is a multitasking marvel, offering nourishment, detangling, and frizz reduction, all while providing UV protection and heat shielding up to 450°F. Its innovative gel-to-mist formula ensures even distribution, making it easy to target specific areas. The scent—a refreshing blend of bergamot, green tea, jasmine, and rose—adds an aromatic touch without being overpowering.

Meanwhile, the hair oil promises to deliver an impressive shine—up to 261% more, according to lab tests—without leaving any greasy residue. Its sleek packaging features a glass bottle with a precise drop dispenser, minimizing waste and enhancing user experience.

Compatibility with Dyson Tools

For loyal Dyson users, the new products are designed to work seamlessly with existing devices like the Supersonic and Airwrap. Mejia-Montane assures that while the formulas are versatile enough to perform independently, they have been optimized for use with Dyson tools to maximize results.

A Sustainable Future

As Dyson continues to emphasize sustainability, the refillable packaging of the leave-in spray reduces waste by 84% compared to traditional products. This commitment to eco-friendly practices reflects a broader vision for the future of beauty, where innovation and sustainability go hand in hand.

After witnessing the intersection of agriculture and technology at Dyson Farm, it’s clear that the brand is not just about powerful airflow and high-tech attachments anymore. With the launch of its Omega collection, Dyson is poised to redefine the future of hair care, proving that what’s grown on the farm can be just as transformative as what’s built in the lab.

As beauty lovers eagerly await the arrival of these groundbreaking products, one thing is certain: Dyson is set to make a lasting impact in the world of hair care.
