Patanjali Foods Cuts Prices on Essential Products Following GST Reduction

New Delhi: In a significant move to benefit consumers, Patanjali Foods Ltd has announced a price cut across a wide range of products, effective September 22. This decision comes in light of the recent reduction in Goods and Services Tax (GST) rates, allowing the company to pass on savings directly to its customers.

The price reductions encompass a variety of items, including food products, beverages, health supplements, soaps, oils, and beauty products, making daily essentials more affordable for consumers.

Food Products Get Cheaper

Among the most notable changes, Patanjali’s soy-based offerings, Nutrela and Soyumm, are now priced Rs 10 to Rs 20 lower per kilogram. Popular biscuits, such as milk, Marie, coconut cookies, and chocolate cream variants, have seen price cuts ranging from 50 paise to Rs 3. Additionally, Patanjali noodles, including Twisty Tasty and Atta Noodles, are now Rs 1 cheaper.

Oral and Hair Care at Lower Prices

The flagship Dant Kanti toothpaste has been reduced from Rs 120 to Rs 106, with other variants like Dant Kanti Advanced and Oral Gel also seeing price drops. In hair care, Kesh Kanti shampoos have been reduced by Rs 11 to Rs 14, while Amla Hair Oil is now about Rs 6 cheaper.

Price Relief on Ayurvedic and Health Products

Health-conscious consumers will also benefit from lower prices on popular health supplements. A 1-kg pack of Chyawanprash now costs Rs 337, down from Rs 360. One of the most significant cuts is seen in cow ghee, with a 900 ml pack now priced at Rs 731, down from Rs 780.

Soaps and Daily Essentials

Patanjali’s Neem and Aloe Vera soaps are now Rs 1 to Rs 3 cheaper, with small packs available for as low as Rs 9, making personal care more accessible.

‘Affordable Purity’ Promise

In a statement, Patanjali Foods emphasized that this initiative aims to ensure customers directly benefit from the GST rate cuts. The company reiterated its commitment to providing “pure, high-quality products at fair prices,” reinforcing its brand ethos of affordability and quality.

With these price reductions, Patanjali Foods is not only enhancing the affordability of essential products but also reinforcing its position as a leader in the Indian consumer goods market.
