West Nottinghamshire College is thrilled to announce the reopening of its beloved Refined restaurant at the Derby Road campus, starting Tuesday, 4 November. Operated by the college’s talented hospitality and catering students, Refined is ready to welcome back loyal patrons for another season of delightful dining experiences.
This autumn, the restaurant will shine a spotlight on its freshly prepared lunch menu, available every Tuesday and Wednesday. Diners can indulge in a tempting array of options, including paninis, pizzas, and salads, alongside crowd-pleasers like the smash burger and halloumi burger. Each meal is complemented by a special hot dish of the day, while a cakes and bakes cabinet will showcase the students’ creative desserts—perfect for a light bite or a coffee break.
In addition to the revamped lunch offerings, Refined will continue to serve plated lunches on Thursdays and Fridays. The popular Wednesday themed evening meals and Thursday gourmet events are already filling up quickly, but reservations are being accepted for the new year.

Our students gain invaluable real-world experience here, from creating beautiful dishes in the kitchen to providing excellent service in the restaurant. We’re especially excited for guests to sample our new lunchtime menus, which are fresh, vibrant, and perfect for autumn.”
The restaurant has also seen enhancements over the summer, including a thriving kitchen garden that provides home-grown fruits and vegetables for seasonal dishes. Inside, diners will enjoy a more serene atmosphere thanks to new soundproofing, while stylish round tables create a more intimate dining experience.
